Founded in 2024 by Emily and Joshua Duchene, Eighty Life is more than just a simple candle company; it’s a testament to the power of family and creativity. Inspired by the desire to craft something that is meaningful for their loved ones, Emily and Joshua embarked on a journey to create candles that not only illuminate spaces but also evoke emotions and memories. Each candle created has an androgynous look and scent to convey both masculine and feminine energy and are meticulously hand-poured using 100% all-natural soy wax, ensuring a clean burn and a minimal environmental footprint. At Eighty Life, we believe in the simple yet profound joy of lighting a candle and letting it’s warm glow and impactful scent fill the room, helping to create new memories and nostalgic feelings that last a lifetime.
All Eighty Life candles feature a scent name and date that corresponds with an impactful event in our lives. Once we have devoted the date to the candle, we then find the #1 song of that month and year and name the candle accordingly. They may not be your traditional scents names, but they mean the world to us!
